By accessing or using Octrivium, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
Octrivium provides cloud-based software and related tools for business operations, including accounting, invoicing, payroll, reporting, customer management, and related features for South African businesses.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Registration
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep that information up to date.
3.2 Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activities that occur under your account.
4. Trials, Subscriptions, and Payments
4.1 Free Trial
New accounts may receive a limited free trial period. Unless we state otherwise on the website or inside the product, the current standard trial for accounting users is 14 days. Trial access may be limited and may end automatically when the trial period expires.
4.2 Paid Plans
Continued use of Octrivium after the trial may require an active paid subscription. Plan pricing, feature limits, and included usage are displayed on our pricing and subscription pages and may change from time to time.
4.3 Additional Usage and Credits
Certain features or usage above included plan limits may require additional one-off purchases, credits, or top-ups. Where applicable, those charges will be shown in the product before purchase.
4.4 Refunds
Refunds for subscriptions, add-ons, or credits are handled according to applicable law, our product terms, and any specific checkout terms shown at the time of purchase. Used or consumed services are generally not refundable unless required by law.
4.5 Payment Processing
Payments may be processed by trusted third-party payment providers. By purchasing a plan, add-on, or additional usage, you authorize the applicable charges in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise stated.
5. Data and Privacy
You retain rights to the business data you enter into the platform. We process that data to provide the service and as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for illegal purposes or in violation of applicable law
- Attempt unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Disrupt, damage, or interfere with the service
- Upload malicious code, harmful content, or unlawful material
- Resell or misuse the platform without permission

The Octrivium platform, including its software, designs, branding, and content, is owned by Octrivium or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
8. Tax and Accounting Disclaimer
Octrivium provides software tools to assist with business operations, accounting workflows, and compliance preparation. We do not provide legal, tax, audit, or financial advice.

9. Service Availability
We aim to keep Octrivium available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates, outages, or third-party provider issues may affect availability from time to time.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Octrivium is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
Our total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Octrivium harmless against claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of third-party rights.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes may be communicated through the service, email, or by updating the date above. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
